Father of The Bride Speech - Sample

Here is a possible sample of a father of the bride speech:

Good evening, everyone. I’m David, the father of the bride, and I’m thrilled to welcome you all to this wonderful occasion. I want to thank you for being here to celebrate the marriage of my daughter, Zara, and her husband, Mike.

I’m sure you’ll agree that Zara looks absolutely stunning today. She has always been a beautiful girl, both inside and out. She is smart, kind, funny, and adventurous. She has achieved so much in her life, and I’m very proud of her. She is my little angel, and I love her very much.

But today, she is not only my angel, but also Mike’s star. Mike, you are a very lucky man to have Zara as your wife. You are also a very brave man to take on me as your father-in-law. But seriously, Mike, you are a great guy. You are handsome, charming, loyal, and respectful. You have a good sense of humor, a good job, and a good heart. You make Zara happy, and that’s all that matters to me.

I remember the first time I met Mike. He came over to our house for dinner, and he was very nervous. He tried to impress me with his knowledge of football, but he didn’t know that I hate football. He also tried to compliment me on my cooking, but he didn’t know that I had ordered takeout. He was so sweet and sincere, though, that I couldn’t help but like him.

Since then, Mike has become a part of our family. He has been there for Zara through thick and thin. He has supported her in her career, encouraged her in her hobbies, and comforted her in her sorrows. He has also been there for me and my wife, helping us with various chores, joining us for family outings, and listening to our stories. He has shown us nothing but love and respect.

Mike, I’m honored to call you my son-in-law. You are more than just a husband to Zara; you are also a friend, a partner, and a soulmate. You have made her the happiest woman in the world, and I can’t thank you enough for that.

Zara and Mike, you are a perfect match. You share the same values, the same interests, and the same dreams. You complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses. You bring out the best in each other. You have a wonderful relationship based on trust, honesty, and love.

As you start your new life together as husband and wife, I have some advice for you. First of all, always communicate with each other. Don’t let any misunderstandings or arguments ruin your harmony. Talk to each other openly and respectfully. Listen to each other attentively and empathetically. Understand each other’s feelings and needs.

Secondly, always support each other. Don’t let any challenges or difficulties discourage you. Stand by each other firmly and faithfully. Help each other grow and learn. Inspire each other to achieve your goals and dreams.

Thirdly, always cherish each other. Don’t let any routine or boredom dull your passion. Appreciate each other gratefully and generously. Surprise each other with small gestures and big gifts. Celebrate each other’s successes and milestones.

And lastly, always love each other. Don’t let any distance or time diminish your affection. Express your love daily and sincerely. Kiss each other tenderly and passionately. Hold each other closely and warmly.

Zara and Mike, I wish you all the happiness in the world. May your marriage be filled with joy and peace. May your love be strong and everlasting.

Please join me in raising a toast to the bride and groom.

To Zara and Mike! 🥂
