Hello everyone, I’m George, Zara’s grandfather and the happiest man alive today. I’m honored to be here to celebrate the marriage of my beautiful granddaughter and her new husband, Mike. I want to thank them for allowing me to play a part in their special day.

Zara, you are the apple of my eye. Ever since you were born, you have brought me so much joy and happiness. You have grown up to be a smart, kind, and lovely young woman. I’m so proud of everything you have achieved and the person you have become.

You know, I have always felt a special bond with you, Zara. When you were a little girl, your dad passed away and left a big hole in our hearts. But you also gave us a reason to live and love again. You were his precious angel and you are mine too.

We have shared so many wonderful memories together, Zara. I remember how we used to dance in the kitchen to Reggie music, and how you would laugh and twirl in my arms. I remember how you would always cry when I left the house, and how you would run to hug me when I came back. I remember how you loved yellow roses, and how I would occasionally bring you a bunch home.

You have always been so funny, Zara. You have a great sense of humor and a contagious smile. You can light up any room with your presence and charm. You have a way of making people feel good and happy. You have a lot of friends who love you and care for you.

You also have a passion for Formula 1 racing, Zara. I remember how we used to watch it together on Sundays, and how we would cheer for our favourite drivers. I remember how we both cried when Damon Hill won the championship title, and how we hugged each other in joy. You have a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport, Zara.

And now you have found the love of your life, your soulmate, your partner in crime in Mike. I’m so happy for you, Zara. You deserve all the happiness in the world. You have chosen a great man to marry. He is handsome, smart, and respectful. He loves you with all his heart and treats you like a queen. He is your perfect match and I’m glad to welcome him into our family.

Mike, you are a good lad. I remember when I met you for the first time, we went to the pub for a drink and we had a good chat. He drank so much he made himself sick and vomited all over the bathroom, what a first impression. He might have a bad alcohol tolerance but he’s got a good heart and a good spirit, a perfect fit for you, Zara.

I wish you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness. I hope you will always support each other, respect each other, and cherish each other. I hope you will always remember the vows you made today and honor them. I hope you will always dance in the kitchen, hug each other, and bring each other roses. I hope you will always watch Formula 1 racing together, and cheer for your favorite drivers.

Before your dad passed away he asked me to look after you Zara and I’ve tried my best. It’s now time for me to ask Mike to do the same. Mike, she is one in a million and her dad would have been so proud of the woman she’s become. 

Zara, you are my granddaughter, my angel, and my friend. I love you more than words can say. You have made me the happiest grandfather in the world. Thank you for being you.
